RenoStride
Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms are an agreement between you and VELNA LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we", "us"), the maker of RenoStride. By buying or using RenoStride, you agree to them. If you use RenoStride for a company, you agree for that company.
1. What you get
RenoStride is a web app for remodeling contractors at app.renostride.com: estimates, proposals with client signatures, change orders, schedules, materials, payments, invoices and job profit, plus help articles and typical cost ranges.
When you pay the one-time price, we give you an access code and a license to use RenoStride for your business on up to 5 of your own devices at the same time (10 with RenoStride Pro). The license doesn't expire, and the app itself has no monthly fees.
RenoStride Pro is an optional upgrade with more tools, such as floor plans, three-option proposals, signing by link, state contract notices, receipts by photo and job photos. It's sold separately for a one-time price and turns on for your access code, on every device that uses it.
RenoStride Back Office is an optional subscription for your paperwork and your books: closeout documents, lien waivers and state forms, documents before and during the job, bookkeeping, reminders and deadlines. It's sold separately, by the month or by the year, and turns on for your access code, on every device that uses it. Section 3 has its terms.
2. Price and updates
You pay once, at the price shown at checkout. The Pro upgrade, if you buy it, is also a one-time payment. Neither one renews. Back Office is the only part of RenoStride you pay for by subscription, and only if you start it (section 3). Updates we release for RenoStride are included at no extra charge. We decide what goes into updates and don't promise any particular future feature.
3. RenoStride Back Office (subscription)
Subscription and automatic renewal. Back Office costs $39 a month or $390 a year. When you start it, you agree that your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and that we charge the payment method you gave at that time, until you cancel. We show these terms right above the button and ask you to agree to them before you start, and we email you a copy.
Free trial. The first Back Office subscription on an access code starts with a 14-day free trial. You give a payment method when you start, and nothing is charged during the trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your first charge is on the day it ends, and the subscription renews from then on. There's one free trial per access code.
Cancellation. You can cancel anytime online: Manage subscription on renostride.com/back-office/, or in the app under Settings › Back Office. You can also email support@renostride.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, or at the end of the free trial: Back Office stays on until then, and you aren't charged again. We email you a confirmation.
Switching plans. You can switch between monthly and yearly in Manage subscription. The new plan starts when you switch, and what's left of the period you paid for is credited, as shown before you confirm.
Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, our payment processor, Stripe, tries again for up to two weeks and lets you know. Back Office stays on while it retries. If the payment still fails, the subscription ends.
After Back Office ends. When your subscription ends, Back Office turns read-only. Everything you made with it stays in the app and in your Google Drive, and you can still open, save and send your documents. The Excel export always works. The rest of RenoStride, and Pro if you have it, keeps working as before. If you start Back Office again, you can make changes again.
Price changes. We may change the Back Office price. We'll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, and it applies only from a renewal after that notice. You can cancel before it applies.
A tool, not advice. Back Office is a tool, not tax, legal or accounting advice. You're responsible for your books, your tax returns and the documents you send. Check state forms, notices and deadlines with a professional before you rely on them.
Bank connections. When bookkeeping is available, connecting a bank or card runs through Stripe Financial Connections, under Stripe's terms. Bank data can be late, incomplete or wrong, and the AI that suggests a category or a job can make mistakes: check your books against your statements.
4. Your access code
- The code is for you and your business. Use it on up to 5 devices at the same time (10 with RenoStride Pro). A device that hasn't opened RenoStride online for 30 days frees its place, and so does Sign out of this device. On a new device past the limit, the app lets you sign one of the others out. Freeing a device's place doesn't block that device: to stop a lost or former device from using your code, ask us to replace the code.
- Don't post it publicly, resell it or give it to another business.
- If a code is shared publicly, refunded or charged back, we may turn it off.
5. Your data
- You own your data, including what you make with Back Office. It lives on your device and, if you connect Google, in your own Google Drive. See our Privacy Policy.
- Without Google, your data lives only in that browser on that device. If you clear the browser, lose the device or sign out without a backup, it can be lost, and we can't recover it. Connect Google or export to Excel regularly.
- You're responsible for the information you enter about your clients and for having their permission to keep it.
6. Not professional advice
Typical cost ranges, help articles, the built-in AI help, the state contract notices in Pro, the forms, deadlines, reports and AI suggestions in Back Office, and the app's calculations are general information to help you work faster. They aren't legal, tax, accounting or engineering advice, and they don't guarantee what a job will cost. The AI tools in Pro (reading floor plans and receipts, turning your description into work items) can make mistakes: check what they fill in. You set your own prices, and you're responsible for your estimates, contracts and permits and for following the laws of your state: licensing, deposit limits, cancellation rights, sales tax, lead-safe rules and others. Check the numbers before you send them to a client.
7. Electronic signatures
RenoStride lets your client sign on your device and saves the date and time with the signature. With Pro, you can also send your client a link to sign on their own device; the signing page records the name they type, the date and time, and their IP address and browser. Whether a signed document is enforceable depends on your agreement with your client and on the law that applies; RenoStride doesn't guarantee it. Some notices, such as a cancellation notice for a sale made at the client's home, may have to be given separately or on paper. With Back Office, each signed document gets a signature certificate, and our server keeps its audit record, as our Privacy Policy describes.
8. Other services
RenoStride works with services we don't control: Google (Drive), Stripe (payments, subscriptions and bank connections), Anthropic (the AI features), QuickBooks, Zelle, banks and payment-link providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we aren't responsible for them or for problems on their side.
9. Acceptable use
Don't copy, resell or reverse-engineer RenoStride beyond what the law allows, try to get around the access code, use it to send spam or unlawful content, or interfere with the service or with other people using it.
10. Refunds
RenoStride comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. The RenoStride Pro upgrade is a final sale. Back Office can be canceled anytime; a month or year that has started isn't refunded. See our Refund Policy.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep RenoStride available and working, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change features, fix problems or update these terms. If we change the terms in a meaningful way, we'll post the new version here with a new date; if you keep using RenoStride after that, the new terms apply. If we ever stop offering RenoStride, your data stays yours: it's on your device and in your Google Drive, and you can export it to Excel. If we stop offering Back Office, we'll cancel your subscription and refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
12. Disclaimer
Apart from the refund guarantee and anything the law doesn't allow us to exclude, RenoStride is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, VELNA LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business, arising from your use of RenoStride. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for RenoStride and RenoStride Pro. For any claim about Back Office, our total liability is limited to the Back Office fees you paid in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts in Miami-Dade County, Florida, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.
